And just why are meats and veggies necessary, anyway?!

Definitely WAY overdue for this blog ... I feel like I have so much to share!

First up is Logan's Diet ...

I have mixed emotions about how this is going. I don't remember if I explained it after surgery, but each week following his splint removal he could go up one "stage" of baby food. So by the end of this week, he should be able to eat everything. Hooray right?! Well he really isn't trying many foods - I don't know if it's the texture or the flavors ... I've tried even physically putting something in his mouth and holding it in there ... even as he's thrashing his head back and forth ... until he gets so mad that he hits my hand away, gives me a scowl and says "nanananana" (no no no!).

I feel awful but his diet consists of chocolate milk (he got too used to the chocolate flavored pediasures! :-/ ), eggs (but only fried - not scrambled), bread, pancakes and sometimes noodles. Oh and he will attack a mountain of peanut butter on his tray :-) NO veggies and NO meat. Eek!! We go to see Dr. Mann this Thursday for another post-op appointment so I'll be curious to hear what he says about Logan's picky-ness!! Speaking of doctors, we saw our family doctor last week for just a well baby check and Logan continues to grow - so we are so thankful for that! Percentage wise - he is smaller than average but he is looking great! Height and weight are at right about the 10th-15th percentile. And of course, like my other 2 Battenfield boys, his head is in the 95th percentile. :-D

Even though he's not eating a sizzlin' steak or green beans yet, watching him eat this past month has been very exciting - he gets better everyday! Check out these cute pictures!
HA! Just realized I have a duplicate in there ... ah well!

On to the rest of the kiddos! Jenna has had an exciting spring! She has been in theatre classes this year and has been in two plays! I completely admire her ability to get in front of others, remember her lines and project her voice! Check out this outfit she wore for The Jungle Book in February...

In other Jenna news ... she earned her letter in JV tennis last week and plans to play again next year! Also, hard to believe but by 1130 or so on Friday - Jenna will have completed her exams and she will officially be a JUNIOR!! Whaaaaaat?!!! Yes, 2 Junes from now, we will be getting ready for her GRADUATION OPEN HOUSE. Oh. My. Is all I can say ...

Jackson graduated from Preschool on May 19!! I think he is already sick of the Mommy time and cannot wait to get back to school ... hmmm when can I start THAT countdown? ;-) Our schools do an all day, every day Kingergarten and I think that will be really positive for Jackson. He thrives on a strict schedule and going from one activity to the next and I just cannot make that happen here with Logan to take care of as well. You can't see it too well in the pictures but he's got a pretty nasty scab on his face; he fell off his bike on Mother's Day and smashed up his face and elbow pretty good. Is it bad that the first thing I thought of was - oh crap what about Preschool Graduation pictures?! :-D

This picture is absolutely priceless.

They were doing some song about "put your elbows in, your knees together, shut your eyes, etc etc" and this is the pose we caught him in!!

LOVE IT!

I cannot believe that I will have both a Kindergartner and a Preschooler next year! Nicholas will be in the same class that Jackson was in this year. So M/W/F from about 930-noon ... it will be just me and Logan!!! What WILL I do?  Here is little Nick ... we love him so much - he thinks of the funniest things to say and is always ready for a snuggle with Mommy ... However ... we are trying to work on some things before school starts in the fall. Eliminating the thumb sucking and control the whines!! Wish us luck - he loves to do both :-/

Nicholas loves to dress up like a superhero.

This day he was Superman Daddy.
Logan wants to be just like his big brothers!!!
